Weekend Reading
Sunday is the start of NaNoWriMo, that hectic, crazy, wonderful month of writing. I know several of you won’t have time for much weekend reading over the next few weeks, and since I’ve decided to commit to my own version of NaNoWriMo, it’s likely you won’t see a whole lot of weekend reading posts in November. I’ll do my best, though.
General Writing
- Thinking about turning your blog into a book? Travel writer Alexis Grant of Aspiring Author tells you how to do it well.
- Joanna at Confident Writing gives some simple suggestions for powering up your writing and overcome fear to write without apology.
- If you’re a multitasker like me, you might want to read 10 Reasons You Need to Stop Multitasking and 10 Ways to Stop Multitasking at Freelance Writing Jobs.

Freelance Writing
- [Specialty Buzz] is back at The Life and Times of a Freelance Writer and this week features a Corporate Copywriter. If you’re looking for a niche, this one might be it.
- You got the job, but is your article ready for submission? Guest blogger Laurie Pawlik-Kienlen give us 5 things to do before submitting at The Urban Muse.
- Like the holidays, tax season is just around the corner. Jenn Mattern at All Freelance Writing offers up a guide to bookkeeping and accounting.
- Writing for free is a hot topic. Maria Schneider at Editor Unleashed suggests we ask a few questions before giving our words away.
- Improve your web writing with some SEO tips from Laurie Pawlik-Kienlen at Quips and Tips for Successful Writers.
